Lead emergency management projects for WSP’s Federal Programs team, supporting preparedness, mitigation, response, and recovery efforts. Work out of the Tallahassee office while backing response missions by deploying for natural disasters on short notice. Solid Microsoft 365 skills are required.

Key Responsibilities

•Support emergency management projects, operations, and staff across preparedness, mitigation, response, and recovery.
•Deploy in response to natural disasters for short-notice response missions across any 50 US states or US territory.
•Support emergency management strategic business development pursuits.
•Support strategic initiatives within the emergency management practice.
•Exercise ethical decision-making regarding company funds and conduct while adhering to WSP policies and workplace safety requirements.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Emergency Management, Public Administration, or equivalent.
•7-10 years of experience in Emergency/Disaster/Crisis management.
•Advanced knowledge of emergency management principles, including preparedness, mitigation, response, and recovery operations.
•Ability to deploy on short notice (24-48 hours) for up to 30 days, including potential 8-12 hour days up to 7 days a week.
•Proven leadership and staff supervision skills, plus solid Microsoft 365 skills.
