Key Responsibilities

  • •Apply DFM/DFA principles across product development to improve throughput, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
  • •Design parts and complex assemblies using processes including welded structures, CNC machining, injection-molded plastics, and composite manufacturing.
  • •Create and release fully defined engineering drawings and GD&T packages aligned to ASME Y14.5 standards.
  • •Develop production enablement materials such as work instructions, process sheets, and assembly documentation.
  • •Conduct tolerance stack-up analyses, design reviews, and DFMEAs, then collaborate with floor teams to iterate designs rapidly.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
  • •3+ years of hands-on mechanical design experience focused on Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA).
  • •High proficiency with modern 3D CAD (SolidWorks, NX, Creo) and associated PDM/PLM systems.
  • •Expert-level practical knowledge of ASME Y14.5 (GD&T) for engineering drawings and tolerance stack-ups.
  • •Must be eligible to obtain/maintain US Security Clearance.
