Job Summary

Support Heavy & Highway Division crews on municipal and state roadway and infrastructure projects by assisting with daily highway, paving, and site development work. Perform general labor tasks such as sweeping, shoveling, raking, tamping, and site cleanup, and help mix, pour, and move construction materials. Assist with formwork setup/breakdown, grading, utility installation, and ensure job sites stay safe, clean, and compliant with traffic control and safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities

•Assist construction crews with daily operations on highway, paving, and site development projects.
•Perform general labor tasks including sweeping, shoveling, raking, tamping, and site cleanup.
•Mix, pour, and move construction materials (e.g., bagged cement, concrete, bricks, blocks) as needed.
•Assist with formwork setup and breakdown, and support grading, paving, and utility installation operations as required.
•Maintain a clean, organized job site and follow traffic control and safety procedures in roadway environments.
