Own and optimize the Transform layer of a high-velocity analytics engineering data ecosystem. You’ll design and maintain modular dbt pipelines and production-grade data models, translate complex business processes into trusted assets, and improve query performance while supporting a migration toward Snowflake. Partner cross-functionally, lead engineering culture through peer reviews and testing, and mentor junior engineers while using AI-assisted tools to accelerate development and legacy discovery.

Key Responsibilities

•Design, build, and optimize modular dbt pipelines and technical schemas with version control and unit testing.
•Translate ambiguous product requirements into robust data assets across Analytics, Operations, and Data Engineering.
•Diagnose query performance bottlenecks to reduce latency and lower warehouse compute costs, including support for Snowflake migration.
•Improve pod culture through rigorous peer code reviews, refactoring legacy technical debt, and enforcing data security standards.
•Mentor and pair with junior engineers to unblock bugs, optimize workflows, and adopt AI-assisted development to accelerate testing and legacy discovery.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 163,710 - 192,600 annually

Key Requirements

•4+ years of professional experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or highly technical data analytics roles.
•Expert SQL proficiency and strong data modeling ability, including trade-offs in database design.
•2+ years building and maintaining modular dbt pipelines in a production environment.
•Experience designing schemas and optimizing query performance on cloud data platforms (Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery).
•Comfort with production git workflows and automated data quality testing.
