Key Responsibilities

  • •Supervise all welding activities for structural, piping, and pipeline work, including offshore daily operations.
  • •Identify and plan requirements for personnel, equipment, and welding consumables to meet project needs.
  • •Coordinate with Welding Supervisors/Foremen, Welding Inspectors, third-party NDT personnel, and the client/inspection teams on welding issues.
  • •Conduct welding trials, qualify welding procedures, train welders, and implement welding QA/QC procedures while maintaining welders’ qualification validity.
  • •Oversee setup of welding and associated equipment, monitor consumables usage, troubleshoot welding problems, and promote safety and compliance with HSE standards.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
  • •Working knowledge of structural, piping, and pipeline welding codes (AWS D1.1, ASME B31.3, API 1104, DNV OS-F 101).
  • •Technical knowledge of welding processes including SMAW, SAW, GMAW, FCAW (inner shield), STT, and welding of carbon steel, stainless steel, and CRA clad steel.
  • •Ability to read and interpret welding procedure specifications and inspection plan documents, including interpreting radiography films of welded joints.
  • •Good written and spoken English skills.
