Job Summary

Operate and maintain wind turbine equipment and associated infrastructure at a wind generation plant. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, perform repairs and component replacements, and complete preventive maintenance using OEM manuals. Ensure environmental, health, and safety compliance, maintain internal controls, and prepare reporting and QA/QC documentation. Support retrofits, design modifications, and commissioning walk-downs while being available for on-call and limited travel.

Key Responsibilities

•Operate and maintain wind turbine equipment and associated infrastructure, including substation, collection, and transmission systems.
•Read schematics and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems involving variable pitch and variable speed control systems.
•Repair or replace mechanical and electrical components to correct malfunctions per manufacturers’ requirements and perform preventive maintenance using OEM manuals.
•Comply with environmental health and safety programs and adhere to internal controls.
•Collect data, prepare reports, perform QA/QC documentation, and support retrofits, design modifications, and (if applicable) mechanical and commissioning walk-downs.

Travel: Low travel

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 31.25 - 45.5 hourly

Key Requirements

•One year college or a technical school certificate, or 12 months of related experience or wind industry training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; High School Diploma or GED.
•Familiarity with maintenance and electronic testing equipment (e.g., voltage testers, amp clamps, oscilloscopes, megohmmeters, infrared testers).
•Advanced computer skills using word processing, spreadsheets, email, facility control, management and reporting systems, including computerized diagnostic and troubleshooting tools.
•Ability to climb towers up to 100 meters daily and lift items up to 60 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
•Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
