Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide daily work direction and operational support to Gate Attendants and Scale House personnel while promoting consistent site procedures.
  • •Coordinate assignments, breaks, shift handoffs, and available coverage; notify supervision of staffing gaps or operational concerns.
  • •Verify identification, credentials, appointments, delivery information, and access authorization before granting entry; monitor and control entry/exit for team members, visitors, vendors, contractors, and truck drivers.
  • •Operate the Scale House computer system to capture required truck and trailer weights; enter load/manifest and driver-schedule information and print and maintain weigh tickets.
  • •Conduct and document trailer and lot checks, inspect live-haul cages for visible damage, and escalate discrepancies, safety/security concerns, incidents, and significant operational matters as required.

Key Requirements

  • •At least 6 months of gate attendant, security, access-control, or related experience preferred.
  • •Previous lead, trainer, or shift-coordination experience preferred.
  • •High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • •Proficiency with computers and ability to learn and accurately operate access-control, visitor-management, communication, recordkeeping, and Scale House systems.
  • •Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, including coaching others and communicating effectively by radio and telephone under stressful situations.
