Key Responsibilities

  • •Plan and oversee line and gas and/or electric department work, supervising safe and efficient operation of daily field activities and coordinating contractor crews.
  • •Schedule work of line or street crews; assess project scope; assign crews and skills; arrange special equipment; ensure material needs are met.
  • •Administer damage claims and billing, manage leak reports and work order materials/processes, and ensure compliance with safety rules and regulations.
  • •Oversee construction office and support budget management, coordinating with local and state highway officials as needed.
  • •Coordinate safety training, documentation, inspections, and accident investigations; supervise emergency restoration and support labor relations/employee evaluations as needed.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelors degree with a minimum of 4 years relevant experience (preferred), or Associates degree with 7 years relevant experience, or High School Diploma/GED with 10 years relevant experience and completion of the relevant progression program.
  • •Knowledge of line work and construction, including line, gas and/or electric theory, switching, tagging, leak detection methods, procedures, and instrumentation.
  • •Knowledge of industry codes including NEC, NESC, Hazmat, and OSHA.
  • •Valid Drivers License, and may require various DOT Operator Qualifications.
  • •Strong communication skills, supervisory ability, and must be available to respond after-hours to storms, emergencies, and critical assignments.
