Key Responsibilities

  • •Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety programs and conduct safety training and periodic assessments for the crew.
  • •Oversee operations and maintenance activities for wind plant equipment, ensuring adherence to manufacturers’ requirements and internal controls.
  • •Coordinate outage and scheduling with the interconnect entity, scheduling coordinator, and trading desk; negotiate and administer third-party contracts and administer warranties.
  • •Manage capital improvement programs and retrofits, including implementation and oversight of preventative maintenance efforts.
  • •Prepare annual budgets and monthly profit and loss reporting; review root cause analyses for major failures; complete performance evaluations and staffing actions for subordinate employees.

Key Requirements

  • •Four-year college degree or technical school certificate; or 5 years of related experience or power industry training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • •Demonstrated experience in power plant operations and maintenance.
  • •Ability to climb 80 meter steel towers daily and work around low and medium voltage in adverse weather conditions.
  • •Advanced computer skills using word processing, spreadsheets, email, and facility control/management and reporting systems with diagnostic/troubleshooting tools.
  • •Valid driver's license.
