Job Summary

Build secure, scalable, resilient RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot, partnering with product managers, architects, and DevOps to deliver backend services for web and mobile applications. Design and maintain API security with OAuth2/OIDC and JWT, integrate with SQL/NoSQL databases, and ensure high quality through unit, integration, and contract tests. Own services end-to-end, optimize performance, and support CI/CD and cloud deployments using Docker, Kubernetes concepts, and Azure exposure.

Key Responsibilities

•Design, build, and maintain RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot modules such as Web, Data, Security, and Actuator.
•Model and integrate with SQL/NoSQL databases, write efficient queries, and manage schema migrations.
•Implement API security using OAuth2/OIDC, JWT, role-based access, rate limiting, and input validation.
•Ensure code quality with unit, integration, and contract tests, and maintain clean, testable code.
•Optimize performance and reliability (caching, connection pooling, async/non-blocking I/O, pagination) and improve observability using logging, metrics/tracing, and health checks.

Key Requirements

•Strong Java (8+; preferably 11/17 or later) and Spring Boot fundamentals.
•Experience building RESTful APIs and integrating with external/internal services.
•Hands-on with RDBMS (e.g., PostgreSQL/MySQL) and ORMs (JPA/Hibernate), including efficient querying and schema migrations.
•Proficiency with Git and Maven/Gradle, plus familiarity with OpenAPI/Swagger and tools like Postman/Rest Assured.
•Experience designing secure, scalable API architectures (OAuth2/OIDC, JWT, resilience patterns) and leading/mentoring design and code reviews.
