Job Summary

Lead operational excellence at the Tallington manufacturing site by driving safety performance, key metrics (including OTIF), and consistent governance of standards, policies, and controls. Partner with production, engineering, supply chain, and site leadership to improve productivity, quality, cost, and customer service. Embed Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement, leverage technology and automation/AI to streamline processes, and manage cost and P&L accountability while coaching operational leaders.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead and promote a safety-first culture and ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards across the Tallington site.
•Drive operational excellence by achieving key performance metrics across safety, productivity, quality, cost, and delivery (OTIF).
•Provide leadership, direction, and governance to ensure operational standards, policies, procedures, and controls are consistently applied.
•Improve efficiency, capacity utilisation, productivity, and overall operational performance by identifying and implementing opportunities.
•Lead Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives, embedding waste reduction, process optimisation, and data-driven decision-making.

Key Requirements

•Degree qualified in Engineering, Operations Management, Business Management, or a related discipline.
•Considerable experience in a senior manufacturing or operations leadership role in a fast-paced production/manufacturing environment.
•Recognised Health & Safety qualification is essential.
•Experience leading site optimisation, operational improvement, and business transformation programmes.
•Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma qualification is desirable.
