Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate a vehicle in compliance with state and federal transportation laws, transporting loads safely and on schedule while following all safety regulations.
  • •Maneuver trucks and trailers into loading/unloading areas and follow loading crew signals.
  • •Assist with loading/unloading using specialized equipment when warranted, including returning equipment to designated areas.
  • •Maintain and deliver required paperwork (invoices and shipping bills of lading) and route documentation updates.
  • •Perform routine service checks (oil, water, gasoline, air) and report maintenance malfunctions; arrange trailers in shipping yards.

Key Requirements

  • •Must hold a Class A CDL (or chauffeur’s license depending on state) appropriate for the vehicle weight.
  • •Must pass background and drug testing required by federal/state DOT regulations and a DOT physical (trucks over 10k lbs).
  • •Must be at least 21 years old to operate a company vehicle.
  • •Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with professional communication at delivery points.
  • •Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds, and to remain focused in a busy environment.
