Key Responsibilities

  • •Deliver significant knowledge transfer activities in partnership with people who draw on care and support, carers, care workers, public services, government, and other adult social care stakeholders.
  • •Co-ordinate, plan, and organise IMPACT priorities for knowledge transfer and translate them into long-term plans to sustain, scale, and spread implementation of research findings.
  • •Lead public engagement/outreach and forward planning aligned to government and sector priorities, working closely with the Communications and Engagement team.
  • •Develop and maintain high-level networking links and collaborations with government, regulators, social care leaders, and improvement agencies across the sector.
  • •Contribute to media and policy debate and support co-production, ensuring embedding work draws on lived experience and practice knowledge.

Key Requirements

  • •Educated to higher degree level (or equivalent) with significant relevant practical experience, or substantial relevant experience if no equivalent qualification is held.
  • •Substantial experience implementing evidence-informed change in an adult social care or other public service setting.
  • •In-depth knowledge of government and sector long-term priorities for adult social care in Scotland.
  • •Ability to plan a programme of knowledge mobilisation activities capable of delivering long-term sustained change.
  • •Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to influence and negotiate effectively with a range of stakeholders.
