Job Summary

Drive innovation in signal integrity for next-generation high-speed signaling on Dell Core HW Development. You’ll work with internal engineering teams and ODM partners to model transmission-line and electromagnetic-field behavior, develop and validate 2D/3D and power integrity simulation models, and define routing/material/interconnect constraints. Lead electrical validation test plans, support design reviews with signal integrity best practices, and collaborate with strategic suppliers to advance platform guidelines and tools across Dell’s server portfolio.

Job Function: Hardware, Embedded & Systems Engineering

Key Responsibilities

•Work with silicon and passive component suppliers to obtain documentation and models, and develop/test/validate simulation models via correlation studies.
•Analyze electrical designs and simulate routing, materials, and interconnect solutions to define a solution space and develop constraints for high-speed interfaces.
•Develop optimized simulation strategies to characterize worst-case conditions for manufacturing and environmental variations.
•Participate in internal and external design reviews and provide guidance based on signal integrity rules and best practices.
•Lead electrical validation test plans and partner with suppliers to co-develop platform guidelines, simulation tools, and future technology directions.

Key Requirements

•Thorough understanding of transmission line theory and electromagnetic field theory.
•Experience using signal integrity tools and applying 2D, 3D, and Power Integrity simulation.
•Experience with advanced test and measurement equipment for signal integrity tasks.
•Experience in analogue and digital circuit theory and principles.
•Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or computer engineering, with 2+ years professional experience (or an equivalent master’s degree).
