Job Summary

Lead and coach a team of Client Success Managers supporting Garner’s mid-market clients (250–999 lives). Own team performance and client retention outcomes while monitoring client health, engagement KPIs, and NPS to identify trends and coach improvements. Partner cross-functionally, step into escalations, and help refine workflows and renewal execution. Optionally carry a small client book and represent Garner in virtual and in-person sessions with up to 30% travel.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead, coach, and develop a team of Client Success Managers by providing timely feedback, clear direction, and support to drive performance.
•Monitor team-level client health, engagement KPIs, NPS, and performance patterns; coach direct reports to close gaps and capitalize on opportunities.
•Support and escalate complex client and broker relationships, stepping in during high-stakes conversations as needed.
•Ensure consistent execution of key workflows, SLA attainment, and delivery of a high-quality client experience across the mid-market portfolio.
•Contribute to improvements in team workflows, templates, tools, and processes that support client engagement, ROI demonstration, and renewal execution; represent Garner in client-facing sessions (up to 30% travel).

Key Requirements

•3–5 years managing a B2B book of business in a client success or account management capacity, preferably in healthcare/benefits, including 2–3 years of people management experience.
•Ability to lead, coach, and develop early-career and mid-level individual contributors, building high-performing teams in a fast-paced environment.
•Strong client management expertise, including navigating complex client and broker relationships, managing escalations, and driving retention outcomes.
•Data-driven mindset using team-level performance data to identify trends, coach to gaps, and help build compelling client narratives.
•Excellent project management and organizational skills to manage competing priorities across both people leadership and client responsibilities.
