Job Summary

Perform routine and advanced electrical and mechanical maintenance on BEUMER baggage handling systems, including diagnosing faults across mechanical, electrical, and control subsystems. Respond to interruptions from jams and sensor/control logic errors, execute resets and root-cause analysis, and carry out preventive and corrective maintenance. Monitor system health with diagnostic tools and dashboards, maintain maintenance logs, and support upgrades and reliability-centered improvement initiatives at the airport facility.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform routine and advanced maintenance on BEUMER Individual Carrier System (ICS) components and third-party interface equipment.
•Diagnose and resolve faults across mechanical, electrical, and control subsystems using structured troubleshooting.
•Respond to system interruptions (carrier jams, sensor faults, control logic errors) including resets and root-cause analysis.
•Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance aligned with BEUMER and OEM documentation.
•Maintain accurate maintenance logs and support upgrades, hardware retrofits, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Requirements

•Associate degree or technical certification in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
•2–5 years of hands-on experience in automated material handling systems, preferably in airport or logistics environments.
•Eligible to obtain and maintain airside security clearance.
•Deep understanding of mechatronic systems (sensors, actuators, motors, and controls) with experience troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and control issues.
•Proficiency with BEUMER SAC systems and PLC programming (Siemens preferred), plus fault diagnostics and industrial communication protocols (e.g., Profinet, CANbus).
