Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide the full breadth of personal financial counseling services to service members and families at military installations.
  • •Deliver one-on-one counseling, consultations, briefings/presentations, and referral resources as appropriate.
  • •Work with installation and military branch points of contact to ensure the program is within scope and meets installation needs.
  • •Develop, publicize, coordinate, and provide personal financial management classes/workshops across the military lifecycle.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree required; may consider associate degree plus 4 years’ experience or high school diploma plus 6 years’ experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
  • •3+ years of financial counseling experience.
  • •Must be a U.S. citizen and speak fluent English.
  • •If required by the contract, must be bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • •Must obtain one of: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), and be able to obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation.
