Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate vehicles according to applicable state and federal transportation laws.
  • •Transport loads safely and timely over required routes while obeying traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • •Maneuver truck and trailer into loading/unloading areas and follow loading crew signals.
  • •Assist with loading/unloading using specialized equipment when warranted; unload empty skids and return equipment.
  • •Maintain invoices and shipping paperwork (bills of lading) and deliver documentation to the shipping office or appropriate staff after delivery.

Key Requirements

  • •Must hold either a commercial drivers license (Class A CDL) or chauffeur’s license appropriate for the vehicle weight to be operated.
  • •Must pass background and drug testing as required by federal and/or state transportation regulations.
  • •Must pass a DOT physical (trucks driven are over 10k lbs).
  • •Must be at least 21 years old to operate a company vehicle.
  • •Strong interpersonal and customer service skills; able to communicate professionally with customers and staff at delivery points.
