Job Summary

Lead GoFundMe’s Identity & Risk Intelligence platform by defining how the company recognizes, resolves, and trusts users at scale. Build progressive identity, identity resolution/graph, and identity confidence scoring that power real-time trust decisions across consumer and enterprise flows. Shape adaptive login risk into step-up authentication, design CIAM recognition experiences, and close large-scale identity-based threats. Partner with IAM, Integrity, Payments, and Decision Science to deliver the technical roadmap.

Key Responsibilities

•Build a progressive identity layer to recognize returning visitors, stitch anonymous device history, and raise identity confidence over time.
•Architect identity resolution and an identity graph, including visitor stitching, account linking, and confidence-weighted models for personalization and fraud prevention.
•Develop a behavioral signals and identity confidence scoring platform, including data products and APIs for real-time trust and authorization decisions.
•Shape login risk into adaptive experiences by turning risk signals into adaptive MFA and step-up authentication to prevent account takeover.
•Own the identity and risk intelligence technical roadmap and partner across Integrity, Payments, and Decision Science to deliver identity signal use cases and durable confidence calibration.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 233,500 - 321,200 annually

Key Requirements

•8+ years of software engineering experience working on identity, risk, fraud, or trust and safety platforms at senior/staff/principal levels.
•Design and ship identity resolution, identity graph, behavioral signal, or risk scoring systems used in production.
•Deep technical experience with device fingerprinting, visitor stitching, account linking, behavioral feature engineering, confidence calibration, and risk model integration.
•Experience with identity and CIAM platforms at scale, including auth, sessions, passwordless authentication, and social login, balancing security vs. conversion.
•Fluency in login risk and adaptive authentication, including risk scoring and step-up flows using device signals for user experience outcomes.
