Job Summary

Serve as a subject matter expert on derivative instruments and hedging relationships within the Treasury Managed Services team. Own end-to-end technical accounting under ASC 815 and IFRS 9, including documentation, effectiveness testing, journal entries, and disclosures for multiple client portfolios. Prepare hedge documentation, perform prospective and retrospective effectiveness assessments, support audits, mentor junior team members, and translate new FASB/IASB guidance into clear client impact summaries.

Key Responsibilities

•Own end-to-end derivative accounting for interest rate swaps, cross-currency swaps, FX forwards, options, and commodity derivatives across multiple client portfolios.
•Prepare hedge documentation and perform formal effectiveness testing under ASC 815 and IFRS 9, including prospective and retrospective assessments.
•Prepare journal entries and financial statement disclosures related to hedging activities and respond to client inquiries.
•Apply critical judgment on hedge accounting elections and scenarios such as fair value, cash flow, net investment hedges, and de-designation.
•Lead audit support and mentor junior team members while strengthening internal methodologies, templates, and technical guidance.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 150,000 - 190,000 annually

Key Requirements

•CPA required.
•5+ years of hands-on experience with derivative instruments and hedge accounting in public accounting, industry, or consulting.
•Deep technical fluency in ASC 815 and IFRS 9, including hedge accounting elections and disclosure requirements.
•Comfort managing multiple client engagements simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
•Experience with hedge accounting platforms (Ripple Treasury, Chatham Financial, Reval, FIS Quantum, or similar) is preferred.
