Key Responsibilities

  • •Build and evolve the Elastic MCP server and supporting infrastructure, primarily in Go.
  • •Develop universal agent skills tooling, including portable skill format, authoring/publishing, and linting.
  • •Design and deliver integrations that make Elastic available inside third-party AI ecosystems with product and partner collaboration.
  • •Contribute to Elastic CLI to improve developer and agent efficiency.
  • •Develop, maintain, and support libraries/tools/integrations related to the Elastic Stack across Go and Rust.

Key Requirements

  • •8+ years of software engineering experience building backend systems, services, or libraries.
  • •Proficiency with AI/ML frameworks and an understanding of LLMs, agents, agent skills, and MCP, with interest in correctness via evaluation.
  • •Recent working experience with Go and ideally other languages.
  • •Knowledge of client-server networking, HTTP, and RESTful APIs.
  • •Ability to read and contribute to unfamiliar codebases and comfort picking up new languages.
