Key Responsibilities

  • •Identify emerging AI research and techniques worth pursuing and set the technical roadmap agenda for Fivetran AI.
  • •Prototype ideas quickly, then ship production-grade features that prove out.
  • •Define cross-department technical direction and resolve architectural tradeoffs across product, data platform, and go-to-market.
  • •Build and maintain backend and frontend systems for the Fivetran AI product, including Agents Schema pipelines and the Context Catalog UI.
  • •Own production reliability through on-call, incident response, and SRE work; set engineering quality, testing, and QA bar.

Key Requirements

  • •10+ years programming experience across Python and/or Java, able to move between backend and frontend work.
  • •Comfort reading AI/ML research and translating promising findings into prototypes and production systems.
  • •Experience with SQL and data warehouses (BigQuery, Snowflake, Databricks, or similar).
  • •Ability to work across full stack needs including research, backend, frontend, SRE, and QA.
  • •Strong independence: define your own direction and execute with minimal oversight, influencing technical decisions across departments.
