•Define Reliability & Stability Metrics – establish KPIs for Engine systems (crash rates, runtime error codes, quality metrics) through telemetry logging and validation.
•Transform & Visualize Data for Actionable Insights – access raw telemetry, build analytics pipelines, and deliver clear insights to scale quality across hardware.
•Design Experiments & Apply Causal Inference – lead A/B experiments and causal analyses to identify performance opportunities and measure improvements.
•Drive Cross-Functional Collaboration – partner with Engineering, Product, TPMs, Creator Analytics, Growth, Infrastructure, and Economy teams to explore opportunities.
•Shape the Future of Roblox’s Foundation – influence Engine systems evolution toward scalable, high-performance, creator-empowering platform.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 221,380 - 263,670 annually

Key Requirements

•4+ years as a Data Scientist with a track record working on high-volume telemetry and product quality optimization.
•Advanced degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, or related field with a focus on large-scale system analysis.
•Experience processing massive, noisy datasets (e.g., crash logs, telemetry pings) and building scalable reporting pipelines.
•Experience designing and interpreting experiments, including A/B testing and causal inference.
•Ability to present deep technical results to Engineering leadership and use data storytelling to prioritize work and future investment.
