Job Summary

Drive pre-sales technical engagements as a field expert, helping customers define challenges and mapping them to Couchbase’s data platform value. Deliver technical discovery through workshops and demos, develop compelling customer presentations, and support PoC/pilot success with acceptance-criteria management. Partner with sales, Product Management, and Engineering to represent customer needs and create internal/external technical collateral, staying current on the competitive landscape.

•Consult with customers and prospects to define challenges and map them to the Couchbase ecosystem with sustainable business value.
•Educate stakeholders and deliver trusted-advisor guidance while challenging assumptions and current status.
•Support technical and business discovery activities, including workshops and demonstrations across multiple opportunities.
•Partner with the sales team on account strategy and help ensure customer PoC/pilots success via acceptance criteria management and issue escalation/resolution.
•Act as the technical product expert and create internal/external technical collateral such as deployment architectures and best practices.

Key Requirements

•5+ years in a Pre-Sales/Customer-Facing/Consulting role.
•2+ years of experience in software development or related industries.

•Familiarity with NoSQL databases or other distributed high-performance systems.
•Experience designing solutions on major database platforms, including data modeling, indexes, and query optimization.
