Key Responsibilities

  • •Configure and maintain FRUN application areas including System Monitoring (SysMon), Integration & User Monitoring (IUM), Real-Time Integration Monitoring, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
  • •Onboard SAP systems, databases, and hosts into SAP Focused Run, and install, configure, and maintain Simple Diagnostics Agents (SDA) across managed systems.
  • •Set up FRUN thresholds, notification templates, and automated metric management; manage Technical Monitoring templates, metric settings, and alert rules in SolMan 7.2.
  • •Perform regular housekeeping, patching, and maintenance of the Solution Manager/FRUN landscapes.
  • •Analyze performance and health metrics (CPU, Memory, DB growth, long-running jobs, lock entries, expensive SQL) and develop proactive health checks, dashboards, and reports; collaborate with SAP Basis, database, and infrastructure teams to reduce alert fatigue.

Key Requirements

  • •3 to 6 years of hands-on experience in SAP Basis / Solution Manager / Focused Run administration.
  • •Practical experience with SAP Focused Run (FRUN), including FRUN architecture, Simple Diagnostics Agents (SDA), system monitoring, and integration monitoring.
  • •Expertise in SAP Solution Manager 7.2 Technical Monitoring, including alert inbox, notification management, and landscape setup (LMDB / SLD).
  • •Strong SAP Basis fundamentals across SAP architecture (NetWeaver, S/4HANA, Suite on HANA), DB management (SAP HANA, Sybase, Oracle), OS (Linux/Unix, Windows), and transport basics.
  • •Hands-on incident management workflow experience with alert routing and understanding of ITIL process fundamentals.
