Key Responsibilities

  • •Directly supervise cementing-related jobs at site when requested by ONGC and ensure they are performed within recommended specifications, procedures, and policies.
  • •Coordinate with ONGC and the Base Engineer for successful cementation jobs and provide technical support across cementing, pressure testing, and associated cementing units.
  • •If assigned as a Field Engineer in base, attend morning/evening meetings and coordinate with ONGC Field Manager for day-to-day field operations.
  • •Interact with ONGC cementing personnel before and after cement jobs to support smooth operations.
  • •Oversee cementing-unit activities including casing/liner/stage cementation, BOP stack testing up to 15,000 psi, acid jobs, squeeze jobs, plug/retainer jobs, diesel pumping, pressure pumping, and leak-off testing.

Key Requirements

  • •Supervise cementing and allied jobs on offshore rigs, including carrying out cementing-unit work during drilling of oil and gas wells.
  • •Have at least five years’ experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or ten years’ experience with a Diploma, in planning and supervising cementing and stimulation jobs in offshore rigs.
  • •Demonstrate planning and supervising of primary cementation of at least three offshore U-HPHT wells with BHST above 300°F.
  • •Have five years of performing cementing services independently, with at least two years in offshore areas.
  • •Be agile and in sound health to carry out operational and maintenance work of the cementing unit; not more than 60 years of age.
