Key Responsibilities

•Provide basic technical support to scientists and technologists in preparing and executing experimental activities and studies.
•Support material characterization using established procedures and analytical instruments.
•Safely execute laboratory work requests, maintain and run laboratory apparatus/testing equipment, and document data.
•Calibrate and perform routine maintenance on laboratory instruments, troubleshoot faulty equipment, and initiate repair processes as appropriate.
•Maintain inventories of consumables/chemicals/supplies and communicate issues promptly; participate in work group meetings on safety and improvement topics.

Key Requirements

•Be 18 years of age or older.
•Have a high school diploma/GED and be enrolled at an accredited college or university near the Midland and Auburn Dow sites, pursuing an undergraduate degree.
•Successfully complete at least 6 credit hours per term during both Fall and Winter terms.
•Commit to the role for at least 1 full calendar year and be able to start within 4–6 weeks of the offer; work year-round at least 16 hours per week during regular business hours.
•Live within 50 miles of the assigned Dow site and be able to work legally in the United States; no visa sponsorship/support is available.
