Job Summary

Join the growing Water team to design and review mechanical elements for wastewater and water infrastructure projects. You’ll support site surveys, develop pumping station designs, perform headloss and pumping system analysis, and produce technical specifications and reports. Work across feasibility to construction design, collaborate with other engineering disciplines, provide technical mentoring, and support bids and client deliverables using digital tools such as BIM and Projectwise.

Key Responsibilities

•Design and review mechanical elements for wastewater and water infrastructure/treatment projects, including pumping stations, pumping analysis, pump selection, and plant/pipework layouts.
•Undertake design stages from feasibility through outline, detail, and construction design while ensuring compliance with national and international design standards.
•Collaborate with other discipline teams and communicate with clients and collaborators throughout planning and design.
•Delegate tasks, direct and oversee the work of others, and act as a technical mentor to more junior staff.
•Assist in preparing and managing bids and proposals and produce/review client deliverables including calculations, drawings, and technical reports.

Key Requirements

•Proven experience designing water and wastewater engineering deliverables, ideally including treatment schemes.
•BEng or MEng in a related engineering field with experience in water and wastewater treatment.
•Chartered (or near Chartered) Member of a relevant Professional Institution.
•Proven experience working at a senior engineer level at a consultancy within the water sector.
•Experience managing projects, delegating tasks, and providing technical mentoring.
