Key Responsibilities

  • •Select and utilize standard gauges to ensure quality and inspect feature tolerances with required accuracy.
  • •Perform complex inspections on mechanical parts, components, assemblies, and materials for workmanship and conformance to specifications/drawings.
  • •Program and set up Articulating Arm (e.g., Romer) and CMMs to achieve desired inspections.
  • •Review and verify certifications/specifications and inspect flight hardware at suppliers based on engineering drawings, purchase orders, industry standards, and SpaceX specifications.
  • •Support supplier corrective action processes by documenting non-conformance, verifying implementation, and helping develop supplier inspection plans.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
  • •3+ years of precision mechanical inspection experience.
  • •3+ years of programming and running CMM or Faro Arm experience.
  • •Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications using ASME Y14.5 GD&T and use metrology tools and gauges.
  • •Experience with quality management systems such as AS9100 and ISO 9001 is preferred.
