Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform repairs and preventive maintenance in a productive, efficient, and safe manner to keep the fleet operating reliably.
  • •Maintain light, medium, and heavy vehicles and trailers by reviewing shop orders, DVIR reports, and diagnosing mechanical failures.
  • •Diagnose problems, test repairs, and complete removal and replacement of components across mechanical systems (e.g., steering, hydraulic, braking, electrical, fuel).
  • •Record time spent and parts used on required forms; follow safety awareness, clean housekeeping, and company policies and procedures.
  • •Conduct DOT inspections, ensure compliance with environmental laws and site EMS/SIPS/BMS procedures, report environmental issues, and assist/trains other mechanics as required.

Salary: USD 24.65

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or GED with 1+ years of related experience and/or training in industrial mechanical maintenance or food manufacturing, or 4 years of direct diesel mechanic experience.
  • •Advanced knowledge of a vehicle’s electrical system and the mechanisms of a diesel engine.
  • •Ability to run diagnostic tests, test drive vehicles for performance, and maintain detailed service records.
  • •Proficiency in diesel engine diagnostic software and strong mechanical problem-solving for removal, replacement, and installation of parts.
  • •Valid driver’s license with acceptable record (CDL-A preferred) and ability to perform hard physical labor, including lifting and working around heavy machinery.
