Job Summary

Civil Engineer III in the Remediation team supports environmental remediation and coal ash closure projects in Glen Allen, VA. You’ll lead technical delivery, design and QA, coordinate with project managers and clients, mentor junior staff, and ensure safety, schedule, and budget adherence across large-scale civil/environmental assignments.

Key Responsibilities

•Collaborate with the Remediation team Project Managers and other business lines to deliver projects
•Serve as Engineer of Record by sealing and signing reports, drawings, technical specs, and regulator forms
•Act as Senior Project Engineer, guiding technical delivery, scheduling, client liaison, and coordination with team members
•Prepare designs, reports, specifications, and cost estimates for civil and environmental remediation projects (landfills, excavations, dewatering, water treatment, stormwater, etc.)
•Mentor junior staff and certify staff experience for PE exam

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 95,000 - 115,000 annually

Key Requirements

•BA/BS in Civil Engineering + 4 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
•Valid U.S Driver's License and must pass AECOM's Motor Vehicle Records Review
•Masters Degree in Civil Engineering (preferred)
•5+ years of relevant experience at an engineering consulting firm (preferred)
•OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training certification (preferred)
