Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate vehicles safely according to applicable state and federal transportation laws, delivering loads accurately and on time.
  • •Complete pre- and post-trip inspections and maintain required regulatory logs (e.g., electronic logging devices).
  • •Load, unload, and stage deliveries and transfers, maneuvering trucks and trailers into loading/unloading areas and following loading crew signals.
  • •Maintain required delivery paperwork (invoices, shipping bills of lading) and deliver documentation after route completion.
  • •Support yard operations by organizing trailers, assisting with yard inventory control, maintaining a safe/clean yard, and reporting maintenance issues to the Shipping Supervisor.

Key Requirements

  • •Experience as a delivery driver with customer-facing interaction, delivering in a variety of environments.
  • •Possess and maintain the minimum state/federal license required for the vehicle weight, and be able to comply with DOT regulations.
  • •Pass and maintain DOT physical requirements (trucks driven are over 10,000 lbs) and complete required background and drug testing.
  • •Experience operating a forklift and a straight truck, with the ability to push and pull material from bins.
  • •Strong customer service and professional communication skills, with the ability to remain focused in a busy environment.
