Job Summary

Own the runtime layer behind usage-based billing, alerts, spend controls, entitlement checks, and real-time usage analytics. Build systems that compute state from Orb pricing, credits, and commits with low-latency reliability, while also shaping a customer-facing API surface. Partner cross-functionally with PM, design, sales, and customer success to turn enterprise and AI customer needs into foundational primitives and roadmap direction.

Key Responsibilities

•Own a product surface end to end, from customer conversations and design through API design, implementation, and rollout.
•Design and ship alerting and analytics that are granular, flexible, and fast enough for contractual latency SLAs.
•Build entitlement and spend-control primitives (credit balances, allocations, usage-percentage alerts, rate limits) enforced in real time against billing state.
•Shape the roadmap, primitives, and interfaces that other teams build against.
•Collaborate with PM, design, sales, and customer success, working directly with enterprise and AI customers.

Key Requirements

•6+ years of software engineering experience owning products or systems end to end.
•Strong product instincts and customer empathy, with comfort connecting engineering work to business impact.
•Ability to design APIs and data models other teams and customers depend on.
•Enough systems depth to reason about real-time and low-latency tradeoffs.
•Attention to detail across API design, product UX, and related primitives.
