Job Summary

Install audio-visual systems on AVI-SPL contracted customer sites, performing tasks such as cable pulls and terminations, installing system equipment/components, and supporting rack and basic metal fabrication work. Read electronic schematics and architectural blueprints, use hand and power tools for soldering/crimping, and help manage jobsite equipment and tools. Coordinate with a Lead Technician to meet time, scope, budget, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction requirements, with travel to job sites as needed.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform installation tasks on AVI-SPL contracted projects, including cable pulls/terminations and installing system equipment/components, rack systems, and basic metal fabrication per project directives.
•Coordinate with a Lead Technician to help ensure projects meet time, scope, budget, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction requirements.
•Read and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints to support installation work.
•Use hand and power tools to solder and crimp connectors and assist with related AV systems installation tasks.
•Assist with management and security of jobsite tools/equipment, travel to job sites as required, and support basic mechanical fabrication and rack wiring.

Travel: Low travel

Key Requirements

•Good communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with clients, colleagues, and vendors, with a customer-service focus.
•Basic understanding of audio-visual systems (projectors, screens, speakers, microphones, video conferencing, digital signage, and control systems).
•Basic ability to install, terminate, and troubleshoot low-voltage cabling (e.g., HDMI, CAT5e/6, fiber optic) and related wiring methods.
•Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues with audiovisual equipment and systems, working independently and meeting deadlines.
•Valid driver’s license and MVR meeting AVI-SPL driving standards, with a minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
