Job Summary

Lead a Payload Systems Engineering team within Boeing’s Defense, Space & Security organization, responsible for both program execution and functional management. Own planning and management of technical scope, cost, schedule, risks, and earned value, while driving IPT decisions to meet program milestones. Provide people leadership for 15–20 engineers through coaching, performance management, staffing, and enforcing payload systems engineering processes and standards.

•Actively manage the IPT to drive decisions, design development, and requirements to meet program milestones.
•Manage IPT cost and schedule performance to baseline, including earned value and scope growth deviations.
•Provide functional leadership for 15–20 Payload Systems engineers, including coaching, counseling, mentoring, and performance management.
•Resolve technical issues, close action items to schedule, report risks and seek cost/schedule opportunities while interfacing with program and customer teams.

Key Requirements

•Requires an active U.S. Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required).

•5+ years of experience working on satellite or space-based communication systems.
•5+ years of experience with digital payload analysis, development, and integration and test.
•5+ years of experience leading payload verification and test.
