Lead technical flood risk modelling across fluvial and pluvial studies, shaping national hydraulic modelling capability and informing decisions on communities, infrastructure, and climate resilience. Provide technical leadership and review models for statutory and stakeholder outcomes, coordinate studies and modelling approaches, and produce high-quality reports and presentations. Collaborate across disciplines while supporting proposals, opportunity identification, and business development.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide technical leadership for fluvial and pluvial modelling using Flood Modeller, TUFLOW, HEC-RAS, or Infoworks ICM.
•Coordinate and manage flood modelling studies, developing appropriate modelling approaches.
•Review hydraulic models to ensure technical quality for successful outcomes.
•Prepare clear technical reports, presentations, and project deliverables.
•Lead or support proposal writing, opportunity identification, and business development; liaise with clients, regulators, and stakeholders.

Key Requirements

•Strong track record in fluvial and pluvial hydraulic modelling.
•Experience providing technical leadership and reviewing hydraulic models for statutory bodies.

•Chartered status with a relevant professional body, or close to achievement.
