Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs for light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair truck equipment across electrical, brake/cooling, starters/alternators, engine electronics, steering, air conditioning, transmissions, clutches, and differentials.
  • •Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment and road test vehicles to diagnose malfunctions and confirm proper operation.
  • •Independently manage parts inventory and equipment on the company-issued service truck, including periodic reconciliation.
  • •Complete DOT forms and repair documentation accurately and on time using company standards and a company-issued iOS device/application (including uploading pictures of work, parts used, and findings).

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field (or an equivalent combination, such as additional degree/certification or 5 years’ experience).
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform job duties.
  • •Obtain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification T8 (PMI) within eighteen (18) months.
  • •Must be able to successfully complete and pass a DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical prior to employment.
  • •Hold a current and valid DOT medical card (or be required to complete a DOT physical) and be at least 21 years or older with a valid driver’s license.
