Key Responsibilities

  • •Prepare and submit customs declarations and required documentation for air shipments.
  • •Ensure compliance with customs regulations, classifications, and duty structures while staying updated on changes to laws and tariffs.
  • •Monitor shipment status and proactively resolve customs-related issues, including holds, inspections, and discrepancies.
  • •Coordinate with customs officials, customs brokers, airlines, freight forwarders, and internal warehouse teams to support timely cargo release and approvals/clearances.
  • •Maintain accurate records for audits, generate reports on clearance performance and duty costs, and assist in dispute resolution related to valuation, duties, and classifications.

Key Requirements

  • •2-3 years of experience with customs laws and regulations.
  • •Knowledge of customs brokerage work, including experience with customs brokerage firms, freight forwarders, or logistics companies.
  • •Ability to ensure import/export documentation is complete and accurate (invoices, packing lists, permits).
  • •Experience coordinating with customs officials to address queries, discrepancies, holds, and inspections.
  • •Good English communication skills.
