Key Responsibilities

  • •Find and extract the key story from messy finance meetings and customer conversations; embed with Ramp Finance to understand how the team operates end to end.
  • •Write and publish a steady stream of first-person posts, points of view, and customer stories in multiple formats.
  • •Create original finance insights and research by partnering with Finance, Economics Lab, and customers to identify questions the data can’t answer and produce analysis.
  • •Build a repeatable finance-storytelling system to capture raw material, develop drafts, and ship content without forcing Finance to become a content team.
  • •Partner with Customer Marketing, Sales, and Communications to select customers with real lessons to share, and run the audience plan to distribute and measure impact.

Key Requirements

  • •Be an exceptional writer who can clarify complex financial or operational ideas without making them bland, with strong reporting instincts and a point of view on structure.
  • •Understand finance, ideally experience covering or working closely with CFOs, accounting, FP&A, corporate finance, treasury, payments, or capital allocation.
  • •Be data literate and able to use AI and trusted data to find sharp metrics and turn them into stories and charts.
  • •Be able to write in someone else’s voice, preserving executive point of view, rhythm, and convictions.
  • •Be based in New York City and willing to work closely with the team in person (relocation support is available if not in NYC).
