Key Responsibilities

  • •Support electrical power and distribution, propulsion, control, and instrumentation systems during operations and maintenance.
  • •Manage maintenance for electrical systems and conduct fault diagnosis, repair, and planned maintenance.
  • •Support development and review of operational procedures.
  • •Assist with stock control of electrical spares and consumables.
  • •Supervise shore subcontractors, manage shore power connections, provide training to cadets, and participate in emergency duties.

Key Requirements

  • •AMSA issued Certificate of Competency Electro Technical Officer (ETO).
  • •Certified ETO under STCW III/6.
  • •Right to work in Australia and on an Australia-flagged vessel.
  • •AMSA-issued Certificate of medical fitness, with ability to undergo an AAD Polar Medical Examination.
  • •Certified/qualified electrical practitioner (Electrician) with an Australian A Grade Electrical Licence (desired).
