Key Responsibilities

  • •Act as the primary language resource for Japanese voice AI, owning language-specific work end to end.
  • •Manage annotation quality by auditing datasets, monitoring metrics (e.g., inter-rater agreement), and reviewing production audio.
  • •Support annotators with guidance on guidelines, edge cases, and language-specific issues, including cascading rubric updates.
  • •Evaluate speech and language quality by assessing audio ratings, written feedback, and TTS pronunciation/prosody/naturalness.
  • •Investigate language-specific customer-reported issues, identify root causes, and update guidelines through calibration and onboarding materials.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 25 - 35 hourly

Key Requirements

  • •Native-level proficiency in Japanese as spoken in Japan.
  • •Experience with data annotation, transcription, or language quality assurance.
  • •Strong foundation in linguistics, including phonetics, prosody, and intonation for evaluating speech and writing.
