Job Summary

Serve as a client-facing AI Engineer, bridging external stakeholders with MBZUAI’s research and product teams. Lead and support large-scale AI projects, overseeing deployment of AI solutions (including SDKs and NLP, Computer Vision, and ML applications), validating trial outcomes, and maintaining documentation. Coordinate across virtual teams to define milestones and use cases, translate complex AI requirements into deliverables, and mentor engineering teams while driving usability and performance.

Key Responsibilities

•Oversee and support large-scale AI projects within the Client AI Engineering team to enhance research and product capabilities.
•Drive deployment of AI solutions, including SDKs and applications in NLP, Computer Vision, and Machine Learning, for internal and external stakeholders.
•Lead design and development of AI-based solutions, ensuring usability, performance, and coordinated delivery across virtual teams.
•Collaborate with AI project owners, architects, and engineers to define tasks, set milestones, and establish development timelines.
•Engage commercial and academic stakeholders to refine requirements, align deliverables with business and research objectives, mentor teams, and validate trial outcomes while maintaining documentation.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Applied Mathematics or Physics with specialization in Machine Learning/Deep Learning, NLP, Computer Vision, Robotics, Software Engineering, or related fields.
•5+ years of product management experience, including at least 3+ years with ML/DL systems or related digital platforms.
•Hands-on experience designing AI applications using NLP, Machine Learning, and Computer Vision.
•Experience with AI operations: training, job scheduling, hyperparameter tuning, and ML Ops (including SaaS).
•Hands-on product design experience using tools such as Figma or Axure, plus strong problem-solving and communication skills.
