Build and ship features for an AI “Agent Platform” that enables agents to author, test, and improve other agents autonomously. Work on the orchestration layer, agent execution harnesses, and the Agent Manager system with guardrails and human-in-the-loop checkpoints. Create full-stack capabilities across data models, APIs, and front-end tooling, and collaborate with real customer workflows to harden platform safeguards.
Location: San Francisco
Workplace: Onsite
Employment Type: Internship
Job Function: Software Engineering
Seniority: Intern level

Key Responsibilities

  • •Design and ship the orchestration layer that routes, sequences, and supervises multi-agent workflows in real time across customer environments.
  • •Extend agent harnesses by building tooling, sandboxes, and evaluation loops to test and validate agent outputs before production changes.
  • •Contribute to Agent Manager by enabling agents to propose, test, and roll out improvements to other agents with guardrails, rollback paths, and human-in-the-loop checkpoints.
  • •Design, code, and ship full-stack features for the agent platform, including data models, APIs, and front-end tooling.
  • •Collaborate with customers to surface where agent-driven improvement can and cannot be trusted, and turn edge cases into platform safeguards.

Key Requirements

  • •Comfort with Python (asyncio, FastAPI) and TypeScript (Node, React), plus CS fundamentals in distributed systems.
  • •Experience with LLM APIs, eval frameworks, RAG, or agent frameworks (e.g., LangChain, MCP) via coursework, internship, or personal projects.
  • •An orchestration mindset for coordinating state, tool calls, and failure recovery in multi-step, multi-agent systems.
  • •Track record of shipping end-to-end projects (school, internship, or personal), not just isolated tasks.
  • •Excitement for bleeding-edge agentic AI work where best practices are still evolving.
