Job Summary

Underwrite and perform financial analysis for wholesale financial institution risks within the broker channel, handling new and renewal policies. Serve as a market-facing partner to wholesale brokers while administering underwriting rules, guidelines, and rating manuals for complex assignments. Manage an account portfolio, develop a business pipeline, and collaborate across Zurich lines and stakeholders to support product/proposition development, marketing, fulfillment, and portfolio management.

Key Responsibilities

•Generate, underwrite, and analyze financial institution new and renewal policies.
•Provide market-facing underwriting and production support with wholesale brokers.
•Administer and monitor underwriting rules and guidelines, including insurance laws, regulations, and rating manual rules.
•Work within underwriting authorities on highly complex assignments and manage accounts under broad limits.
•Manage an accounts portfolio, develop a pipeline, and collaborate/cross-sell with other stakeholders and lines of business within Zurich.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 100,000 - 215,000 annually

Key Requirements

•5+ years of experience in Underwriting or Market Facing (or Accounting, Banking, Risk Management) for the Executive Underwriter level, or 7+ years for the AVP/Underwriting Director level.
•10+ years experience in Claims or Underwriting Support for the Executive Underwriter level, or 14+ years for the AVP/Underwriting Director level.
•Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice route: include an Associate Degree and either 3+ years (underwriting/market facing) or 8+ years (claims/underwriting support) for Executive Underwriter; or 5+ years (underwriting/market facing) or 12+ years (claims/underwriting support) for AVP/Underwriting Director.
•Knowledge/experience with Microsoft Office and experience producing quotes for new and renewal business under time restraints.
•Experience working in a team environment; strong verbal and written communication skills are preferred.
