Key Responsibilities

  • •Set technical direction for major application networking initiatives and own designs from proposal through general availability.
  • •Lead development of ingress, private connectivity, DNS, and security controls at large scale while continuously addressing performance, reliability, and operability issues.
  • •Drive multi-quarter cross-organizational projects through delivery for dependencies across Elastic engineering teams.
  • •Raise operational quality by leading end-to-end operational investigations, complex incident investigations and reviews, and participating in on-call rotation.
  • •Mentor engineers and act as a subject matter expert, advising product management and senior engineering stakeholders on technical trade-offs and feasibility.

  • •Experience building software at production scale and setting technical direction for complex distributed systems (Staff/Principal-level scope or equivalent).

  • •Experience owning end-to-end projects, including technical design and working with others to deliver required components.
  • •Operate high-availability SaaS platforms, respond to incidents, and improve reliability over time with strong testing, observability, and operability.
