Job Summary

Lead mechanical and reliability programs for the Personal Systems Quality team. Perform advanced failure analysis, root cause identification, and corrective actions across development, manufacturing, and field operations. Use field quality data to improve prevention and detection, and develop acceleration techniques and analytical tools for early issue identification. Support NPI efforts through RFQ/CAD/DFX tear-down analysis, create NUD mitigation and issue-prevention plans, and mentor other reliability engineers.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead mechanical and reliability programs for the Personal Systems Quality team.
•Conduct advanced failure analysis, root cause identification, and corrective actions across development, manufacturing, and field operations.
•Analyze field quality data to prevent failures and improve detection of product issues.
•Develop acceleration techniques and analytical tools to identify potential problems early for new products, packaging, processes, and reliability.
•Perform NPI-phase analysis and reviews (RFQ proposals, CAD reviews, DFX tear-downs), including NUD mitigation, test plans, and issue prevention.

Key Requirements

•Four-year or graduate degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, or a related discipline, or commensurate experience.
•Typically 7–10 years of work experience in reliability modeling/analysis, root cause analysis, or a related field.
•Mechanical design and 3D modeling capabilities.
•Hands-on and theoretical experience in a Reliability Lab environment.
•Experience with failure analysis, root cause analysis processes (e.g., 8D, Fishbone), and risk assessments using FMEA.
