Job Summary

Advise Delivery Hero on EU employment law issues for platform workers globally, managing worker classification risk and supporting litigation and regulatory investigations. Partner with Product, Tech, and Operations to understand delivery operations and the delivery tech stack, and help shape new platform-work business models. Track EU legislative and regulatory developments and act as a subject-matter expert to senior leadership, with limited international travel up to 10%.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead the management of platform worker and rider classification risks globally in collaboration with international employment lawyers across the Group.
•Monitor and manage high-profile litigation and regulatory investigations, developing defense strategies with local counsel.
•Partner with Product, Tech, and Operations teams to understand delivery operations and the tech stack, supporting next-generation delivery solutions.
•Support cross-functional teams in exploring new business models and strategic opportunities related to platform work.
•Track and analyze legislative and regulatory developments impacting platform work, advising Public Policy teams at HQ and market level while serving as an expert to senior management.

Travel: Low travel

Key Requirements

•Fully qualified employment lawyer in an EU jurisdiction with extensive employment law experience, including at least 3 years in a law firm environment and strong litigation background.
•Deep expertise in platform work and worker classification, including hands-on experience interpreting and applying the EU Platform Workers Directive and related legislation.
•Strong legal judgment to influence senior stakeholders and collaborate across multi-jurisdictional, cross-functional teams.
•Excellent communication and drafting skills, including legal drafting and executive-level communication.
•Full professional proficiency in English and fluency in at least one additional European language, with willingness to be based in or relocate to an EU market.
