Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate paving and groundwork equipment (e.g., pavers, rollers, grinders/milling machines, backhoes, bobcats, bulldozers, curb machines, asphalt paving machines).
  • •Control material depth and distribution through paving equipment and maintain a constant material flow into hoppers or screeds.
  • •Perform related paving tasks such as cutting/breaking pavement, driving guardrail posts, routing cracks, and cleaning/cutting expansion joints.
  • •Maintain equipment condition by performing minor servicing and maintenance, inspecting and repairing equipment, and reporting major malfunctions to supervisors.
  • •Assist on site operations including coordinating truck dumping, shoveling blacktop, controlling traffic, and setting up/tearing down equipment.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or GED required.
  • •Minimum 1 year experience and/or training in a related field (or equivalent education and experience).
