Job Summary

Own end-to-end materials and supplier planning for new product development. Forecast engineering, materials, and manufacturing requirements; run make-vs-buy analysis and MRP demand coordination to minimize inventory exposure. Lead matrix collaboration across buyers, planners, production control, engineering, quality, and suppliers to create materials strategies, manage materials change control, and resolve supplier quality issues while tracking KPIs, landed costs, and total program objectives.

Job Function: Program & Project Management (PMO)

Key Responsibilities

•Forecast and communicate engineering, materials, and manufacturing requirements to suppliers; support outsourcing decisions using make-vs-buy analysis and coordinate demand signals through MRP.
•Form and coordinate a Materials Core Team, managing product development process deliverables via matrix management and collaborating with engineering to interpret requirements.
•Create, release, and update new project materials strategy under some supervision and execute commercialization (transition) materials plan.
•Support sourcing activities including supplier price/delivery negotiations, supplier selection/assessment, supplier risk assessment, and monitoring supplier performance (delivery, quality, cost).
•Manage materials change control, track KPIs and total landed cost targets, resolve quality issues, and mediate with quality/engineering to escalate when necessary.

Travel: Low travel

Key Requirements

•Experience in materials, engineering, or manufacturing planning and supplier coordination.
•Ability to use make-versus-buy analysis and coordinate demand through MRP to minimize inventory exposure.
•Knowledge of supplier selection, assessment, and supplier risk assessment for critical/unique parts.
•Experience managing materials strategy deliverables and supporting commercialization/transition material plans.
•Ability to resolve supplier quality issues through change control processes and cross-functional collaboration.
