Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform assignments requiring the application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to carry out tasks associated with geotechnical exploration.
  • •Assess geotechnical conditions and provide technical design of geotechnical engineering solutions for water and wastewater treatment facilities.
  • •Develop geotechnical exploration plans, select soil improvement techniques and foundation support systems, and exercise engineering judgment.
  • •Provide direct responsible charge, guidance, and mentorship to junior-level geotechnical engineers.
  • •Serve as the technical lead for the Geotechnical Engineering department under the guidance of the Department Head.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 105,000 - 130,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering or related field + 4 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • •Registration as a Professional Engineer in a US Jurisdiction with the ability to obtain licensure via comity in Rhode Island within twelve (12) months
  • •A valid U.S. Driver’s License is required to regularly drive AECOM vehicles to project sites. The selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review.
  • •Master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering or Civil Engineering with a Geotechnical Engineering Focus or other related field
  • •5+ years of demonstrated work experience performing geotechnical exploration
